Adam Boyd, ʯÁñÊÓÆµ State Community College student and Marine Corps Veteran, was awarded the Chancellor's Commendation for Military Veterans.
ʯÁñÊÓÆµ received a grant from the Office of Violence Against Women that enables ʯÁñÊÓÆµ to develop and implement training, policies, services, and partnerships that will better enable the College to do its part to help reduce domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking throughout the region it serves.
Daphne Davenport, McMinnville, received the Sam H. Odom Scholarship to use toward her nursing degree. The scholarship is awarded to one student at each of the Tennessee Board of Regents' (TBR) 13 community colleges each year on behalf of the Sam H. Odom Foundation Trust and TBR.
Working well as a team, having a sense of duty, and possessing a strong work ethic are just a few of the many reasons that Veterans make excellent employees. The new Veteran Affairs Coordinator at ʯÁñÊÓÆµ State Community College is no stranger to military service.
